A commercial building lives or dies by its street presence. When this three-storey retail complex signed a global gym chain and a quick-service restaurant as anchor tenants, the brief to FC Glass was simple: maximum visibility, minimum frame.
The scope covered the full front of the building — toughened glass shopfronts at street level, full-height facade glazing across the upper gym floors, aluminium framing throughout, and coordination with the ACP cladding and signage teams so that glass, panel and brand lined up to the millimetre.
Ground-floor shopfronts take the hardest life on a main road: footfall, doors, weather and the occasional stray impact. They were glazed in 12mm toughened safety glass — several times stronger than ordinary float glass, engineered to crumble into blunt granules rather than shards if it ever breaks. The upper floors carry tinted glazing that cuts heat and glare for the gym floor while keeping the workout view of the street.
Installation on a live commercial road is its own project. Panels were fabricated off-site to surveyed measurements, and heavy lifts were sequenced around business hours so the shops below could keep trading — a discipline FC Glass has refined over two decades of shopfront work across Gurugram and Delhi NCR.
The result reads as a single glass surface from across the road — and a shopfront that has already been through a Gurugram monsoon without a callback.
